Beatrice Valenzuela

I have for a long time been in love with the beautiful handmade shoes of Beatrice Valenzuela.
So I was very happy when I found a house tour from her home on apartment therapy via Lena Corwin.
It is just as beautiful as expected - and those of you who have followed my blog for a while might know that the palette of Beatrice Valenzuela's home is exactly the colours I like.

There is also a closetvisit on Beatrice Valenzuela and her wardrobe is no less fantastic.

Last summer flowers

Last afternoon and night I was to a meeting until late and when I came home Frida Viola had picked me the last summer flowers from our backyard. Today they have already lost some of the petals but they still look sweet and summery. Her little chair has also got summer flowers on it's seat - a little thing I have been wanting to do for a long time.

Later today we will be going here for the weekend - we won't arrive until very late this night.
Hope there still are some vegetables and fruits left in the garden.

toc-toc-toc!

Today I was lucky to find the summer issue of the super fine little toc-toc-toc! in my mailbox.
So many peeks into beautiful homes and good new inspiration.
Featured homes are Lena Corwin's, Pénélope Naulleau's and Gaëlle Barré's.

Buy it here.

Below is tonight's dinner: Pumpkin soup with lots of ginger, coriander and cumin. It was good.
Have a nice evening!

Colder

Walking and drinking coffee outside - I like it at this time of the year, a little cold but still ok.
Frida Viola loves the little wool slippers - they are still far to big but she likes the big pom poms.

Nice and fun wardrobe inspiration: closetvisit, Emma Dime and The Coveteur.

Scary miniature interiors by very talented Corinne May Botz.

La Habana

A has always wanted to go to Cuba. Some time ago I bought him this book with the most beautiful photos of Cuban interiors by Robert Polidori. The interiors are so inspiring with fantastic colours and a beautiful decay.
The colours remind me of this place - although situated in a totally different part of the world.

See more of Polidori's Havana photos here.
I found the book in this bookshop - in my opinion the best place to buy travel books in cph.

Weekend!

The time just after picking Frida Viola up from kindergarten is the best of the day. It's still sunny and quiet in the house and you still got some day left.
Yesterday evening while watching the election at TV I tried a new recipe from Aarstiderne on cinnamon rolls. They turned out good - and so did the election.

Have a nice weekend all of you!

Amimono

I have posted about Amimono and the beautiful design of Helga Isager before.
My mom's aunt made these cardigans for Frida Viola and me, both from Amimono's knit collection 2010 - very soft and delicate.

Amimono has a new home collection - every item a wish for me.

Hope

Today is very important for Denmark - Election Day.
I keep my fingers crossed and hope for changes.

My Home Today

1. New sweater in a colour I like.
2. Old bedlinen - also nice colours.
3. Bundle of vanilla from the local market in Kampala in Uganda - brought home from friends.
4. Fantastic acorn filled with embroidered tiny felt balls - an old lady made these.
5. Today's paintings - blue being Frida Viola's favorite paint at the moment.
6. More acorns.

Dreaming of:
A cabin in the woods - LEVA Husfabrik.
Faroese sweater for Frida Viola - mormor nu.
